    Nice Piers!

I wonder how small such motors can be. Hub Motors are really practical, I think they are great, except for some ballacing issues if we ever get the chance to build a offroad fun version of a moped. Because of the added weight on the wheels.

But for zapping through the city, I can be for sure an option.

PS: I pasted the youtube code on the “code Tab” under posting, than it worked, probably embeding YOutube videos on the “Visual Tab” doesnt work.

This is a comment from this dude ( http://www.youtube.com/user/introvertebrate ) on youtube who I asked about fre energy/motors:

for your purposes I would reccommend an attraction motor like the Lindemann Attraction Motor and the Teal Magnipulsion Engine. The first one is constructed just like a standard motor except it doesn’t have any magnets and the other is more like a piston engine. They are extremely efficient motors as they do not have any back emf, plus you can extract electrical energy from them using the fly back voltage in the same way as the bedini ssg.

You might be interested in watching the “Electric Motor Secrets” dvd with Peter Lindemann where he explains the principles. I think there may be a torrent for it floating around thoguh don’t tell Peter I said that!

    Good luck with your projects!
