Jochen Meets Lets Evo

I got a chance to be modified in an experiment made by my friend Jochen Leinberger, who wrote a small program that reads each pixel of and image and transforms it into a geometry shape (in this case, a sphere) and scales it in coorelation to its color value. Its similar of what a photoshop filter does, the diference is that his program can generate a vector graphic file (.SVG) of the result which can than be endlessly scaled and even be sent to a CNC mill Machine.

Jochen is experimenting with scientific phenomens, digital processes and aestetics questioning the frontiers of algorithims and the real world.

And I am trying to convince him to create some algorithim skateboard graphics. Until that happens, I suggest everyone interested to keep track of his thoughts on his website Explorative Environments
